The Dental Lab
Once the dentist has prepared your teeth this is where the fabrication of your restoration will take place. On receipt of your impression we can set to work on finding out exactly what your wishes are. At this point we can discuss the choices available regarding colour, shape or alignment of your teeth.
Advantages of Visiting the Lab
Before we begin your restoration we have to determine a colour match which is personal to you. There are many different variations in colour which can be mixed or layered in different combinations. Providing us with the opportunity to look at your teeth in more detail is beneficial to us in providing the most natural restoration possible.
What is the Shade Matching Procedure?
Shade matching is non-invasive and therefore totally painless. The shade is digitally matched to achieve the desired result. If permitted we will also take some digital photographs as a reference when making your new teeth.
How long does it take?
Usually 20 minutes is enough time to take the shade and discuss your case. A particularly complex case may take longer as you can discuss your case in much detail as you like.
