To achieve this every technician at Opal Dental Lab is fully qualified, highly skilled and motivated to provide the restorations you expect. Opal Dental Lab meets all regulatory requirements of the Dental Industry. All the technicians working on your new smile are also GDC registered. This Statutory Registration of Dental Professional’s including technicians was introduced in July 2008. Combined with CPD we believe this shows Opal Dental Lab’s commitment to provide quality cosmetic restorations in keeping with the rapid advancement in dental technology. It is possible for patients to visit the lab for a private cosmetic consultation provided by the dental professionals producing your restoration or by referral from your dentist. Our technicians will be happy to provide information on the products the lab can offer.
Outlined below are services we offer to patients: -
- Full Cosmetic Product Consultation;
- Smile Design Consultation including digital photography;
- Wax Mock Ups – Projected outcome shown using models;
- Shade Taking;
- Shade and Contour Verification at final stage; and
- Referral to Cosmetic Dentist.
Dental technicians do not carry out individual examinations, give clinical advice to patients regarding the suitability of restorations or perform any clinical procedures relating to dental appliances. Dental technicians do not provide treatment or give advice to patients as described under the sections for Dental Professional’s from the Scope of Practice of the GDC ( www.gdc-uk.co.uk ).
